HEAD OF COMPUTER STUDIES
We are seeking to appoint a well qualified, exciting and innovative Head of Computer Studies who will also be Deputy Head of the New Technologies Department at Toynbee School. This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who wants to develop their leadership skills to the next level.
Toynbee is a school which is celebrating its third year of successful year on year improvement in examination results (currently 75% A* – C including Eng & Ma). We are now in the Top 25% of schools nationally and have been invited to the Parliamentary Review for Secondary education. So we are looking for a teacher who will continue to help us both sustain and improve results as well as contribute to the teaching and learning agenda in our school community.
The successful candidate will teach Computing at KS3 and 4, lead, monitor and develop other teachers in the New Technologies team and have whole school responsibility for staff esafety.
Computer Studies is a high performing subject at Toynbee and reflecting its popularity there are 3 GCSE groups in Year 11, 2 in Year 10 and 2 in Year 9. Thus a strong knowledge of computing is essential and a willingness to perform the role of second in the New Technologies Dept.

POST TITLE: Deputy Manager of Resourced Provision
An enthusiastic and innovative NQT is required from January 2018, working four days a week. The Resource Centre at Toynbee caters for children with a visual impairment throughout Hampshire/ Portsmouth/ Southampton.
Applicants are invited who have an interest in working with pupils with a visual impairment. Experience in the field of visual impairment would be advantageous, although not essential as training will be given to the successful candidate through the V.I. Resource Centre. You will be expected to complete the Post Graduate Diploma in teaching children with visual impairment qualification, starting in September 2018. A teaching commitment is required and this can be discussed at the interview.

POST TITLE: Maternity Cover Teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition/Design
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic and innovative teacher to complement our existing New Technologies department which includes Food, Design Technology and Computing.
The successful candidate will teach Food and Nutrition at KS4 and on a rotation within New Technologies department at KS3.
You will need to be confident and able to demonstrate that you are an excellent practitioner with ability to pass on your enthusiasm onto pupils and make Food and Design Technology exciting and engaging. Due to the popularity of this subject, a strong knowledge of the new curriculum is desired.
Salary: Pay range is £ 22,467 - £33,160 FTE (pro-rata)
