ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER
Toynbee School has a vacancy for an energetic, enthusiastic and physically fit Assistant Site Manager to join the site team and work in harmony with other colleagues to undertake actions that ensure high levels of maintenance and tidiness are visible around our large campus.
Helping to maintain a secure and safe environment is vital and the successful candidate will be on the overnight key holder’s rota and may be required to attend site in the event of a call out. A background in property maintenance / decorating would be an advantage as would good DIY skills. Delivery of goods also forms an important part of the job.
It is essential that this person chosen is prepared to undertake training in the post so as to develop and exhibit a clear understanding of the requirements and procedures to allow health and safety regulations to be meticulously observed and this will involve assisting with the ongoing completion of a range of risk assessments.
A patient and flexible approach to the job is a must as no two days in a secondary school are the same and you never know what you and the team will be needed to do next to help in the smooth running of the whole school community.
No smoking is permitted on the School Site.
This is a full time job (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, 24 days holiday per annum). Hours will include Saturdays, occasional Sundays and evenings if required. Some early starts (6.30 am) and some late finishes (10.00 pm). Salary Range: Grade C £16,209 - £17,955 per annum. Occasional overtime may be possible from time to time.

We are seeking to appoint a Dance teacher to join our very successful school from January on a fixed-term contract for two terms. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and imaginative teacher to join a strong department in our very successful school. Applications are welcome from NQTs as well as experienced teachers.
The successful candidate will teach Dance at KS4, as well as teach PE at KS3. Dance is a high performing subject at Toynbee. In 2017, 25% of pupils achieved an A* or A grade, and 80% achieved a C grade or above. The department also runs a very extensive extra-curricular programme and we would hope the successful candidate would be willing to contribute to this.
We want all of our pupils to do their personal best in lessons and the successful candidate will need to be committed to this ethos and work and plan hard to remove any barriers to learning and enable pupils to improve and develop their skills, knowledge and understanding to the highest level they can.
